A Mother's Day to be Had... X

With Mother's Day just around the corner, we spoke to one of our FLANNEL girls Serena to learn how she is planning to celebrate the mums in her life, her go-to Mother's Day recipe, and their favourite FLANNEL looks to embrace their powerful femininity.

What are your plans for this Mother's Day?

My plan for Mother's Day is to start the morning with a gorgeous yoga flow at Loop Studio Spa with my mum and 80-year-old nan, followed by a coffee together at Mrkt Space in Leighton Beach. By lunch, we will be all dressed up for a cheeky drink and bite at Al Lupo across the road from the ocean.

What is your favourite recipe for Mother's Day?

There is nothing like a cup of tea and homepage banana bread after a morning yoga flow with your mumma. I love baking an easy banana bread; it leaves the house smelling amazing all weekend long!

SERENA'S BANANA BREAD:
All you need:
1/3 cup coconut oil, melted
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 eggs
2 large ripe bananas, mashed
1/4 cup almond milk
1 3/4 cups oat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt and pinch of cinnamon

How to make:
1. Preheat oven to 165 degrees celsius and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan
2. In a large bowl, add all dry ingredients and stir. In a separate bowl, whisk all wet ingredients.
3. Carefully pour wet ingredients into large bowl of dry ingredients. Fold together (don't over mix).
4. Add walnuts and fold into mixture,
5. Pour batter into greased pan.
6. Bake for 55 minutes and let your loaf rest for at least 10 minutes.
Enjoy... X

What the ladies are wearing to lunch?

Serena wears the Reed Trench, Arlie Shirt, Harmony Frill Short and Lincoln Slide.

Jan wears the Reed Jumpsuit,

Lisa wears the Eliza Shirt Dress and Atlas Boot.

Our favourite thing about each outfit is they embrace an effortless femininity with a personalised touch.
