Meet our FLANNEL Girl: Giulietta
Introducing Giulietta, our longtime FLANNEL Girl from Western Australia. We sat down with Giulietta to gain an insight into her FLANNEL world, how she came to join the team, what makes her tick each day and her favourite pieces this season.
Tell us about your FLANNEL journey?
Around 23 years ago, I went to an interview for the designer's former label in Perth. It was with a beautiful goddess named Brooke, one of our directors and the designer's sister. That interview was the start of a long-time friendship. I then moved to Melbourne 20 years ago. Brooke would always come and visit me when she was showcasing FLANNEL in Melbourne. I would wear my gorgeous FLANNEL pieces and everyone would comment so I would explain that FLANNEL is my favourite label. After years of manifesting one day working for FLANNEL, Brooke finally called with the news they were opening stores in Melbourne and asked if I would like to work for them. I've been with FLANNEL since and have met so many wonderful people and feel so blessed.
What does a day in your life look like?
I start my morning with a cold pressed green juice from Boatshed, then a STRONG soy long mac from Mel and Co. When I enter my FLANNEL world, I'm in sheer bliss. I put lots of outfits together to inspire my day. I love styling sessions and helping my customers evoke the amazing goddess within themselves by helping them feel great in FLANNEL designs. I like to give a bespoke approach to customer service as we are all unique. Then I'll go to Sal's Pasta next door and order their amazing garden salad - literally from their garden... behind my store! Blessed.
What is your favourite current FLANNEL piece and why?
My favourite current FLANNEL piece is the Arlie Maxi Skirt. This is the most timeless, stunning piece I've ever come across. You can wear it to a black-tie event or simply every day. It's also completely transeasonal so you can wear boots, slides, sneakers or heels. I'm obsessed!
